Acrolite was released as a student model in 1964, and over the last 50 years it has become a beloved professional model representing Ludwig Sound. This time, a model has been released that uses two new materials based on this design to further expand the range of sounds.

The copper model has a dark tone among metal shells, and a warm tone like a wooden snare. The 14 x 6.5 size and 10 tension lugs provide stable tuning and a light sound.
