Vic Firth Matt Greiner Signature Drumsticks were designed with extreme dynamic ranges in mind, considering how Matt plays with his band August Burns Red. What he wanted was a stick similar to a 3A in thickness, but longer and better balanced for those times when he needs to quiet down.

These hickory sticks feature an extended length and an elongated taper to fulfill Matt's desires, with a uniquely shaped tip that creates crystal clear articulation on hi hats and ride cymbals while still being able to gain serious volume on big, heavy cymbals.

Slippery sticks tend to be a problem at high-energy shows, which is why Vic Firth uses a 'dry-tumble' technique to create a smooth, organic-feeling stick devoid of any lacquer.
