Steve Smith needed a softer stick to play along with the quiet Tabla drums, but he wanted more rebound than the typical bundle stick or brush. The TW12 Tala Wand was born - made with a core of foam surrounded by 12 birch dowels (or 11 bamboo dowels on the TM11 model), these bundle sticks get a nice amount of rebound and still maintain the low-volume 'bundly' sound you want when you pick up a bunch of dowels.

Each wand is covered in thin PVC to give you a nice feel in the hand. As a bonus, these bundle sticks are also remarkably durable because of the shock-absorbing foam core.
