In recent years Trivium have ventured more and more into the world of 7 string guitars. Still needing to get their signature sound even with that low B string Corey Beaulieu has teamed up with Jackson to make this KV7 signature guitar. With a high speed feel and hot as hell hardware this guitar is made for those with a needs for speed and a love of high gain.
Ready To Shred
Making a guitar ready for shred is not just as simple as slimming down the neck and fitting heavy hardware. I mean that all helps but it goes much deeper than that. Jackson and Corey both know this so they opted to make the body out of Basswood. This wood really lets the midrange pop out and shine so you get excellent presence and sustain so you can cut through. The neck is nice and slim but what matters just as much is that it has graphite reinforcement for stability and runs through the body in a neck through design giving you better sustain.
Powerful Hot Hardware
It would not be a heave metal shred guitar without some hardware forged by legends. Fitted in this guitar you have a set of powerful Seymour Duncan Blackouts which give you incredible output without making your guitar sound unnatural, unlike other active pickups.
Also on this guitar you have the amazing Floyd Rose Special Locking Tremolo. This helps keep your guitar in tune as well as lets you pull of some crazy licks and tricks like you could find on any Trivium album. This is an essential part to getting the Trivium lead sound as Corey loves digging in with his tremolo.
